The client brief for this project was to create a contemporary extension to the existing Californian bungalow. We designed an ultramodern space with north facing outdoor area that stands in a stark contrast to the traditional front.
The new addition is - despite its generous size - almost invisible from the Street.
Brightness and outdoor connections were a key design consideration for all rooms.
The family room was designed to make large scale entertainment for the extensive family possible.
The beautifully finished kitchen received a large adjacent utility room and pantry, both accessible directly from the outside.
The first floor is the domain of the teenage children and features a separate living area overlooking the garden as well as two bedrooms and bathroom.
